Utah State Bar President Elect & Bar Commission Election Information

Elections have moved to electronic balloting. Online balloting will begin on April 1st, 2012 and will conclude April 15, 2012. Upon request, the Bar will provide a traditional paper ballot by contacting Christy Abad at adminasst@utahbar.org.

Commission Seats Up For Election in 2012:

  • 3rd Division (2 Seats)
  • 4th Division (1 Seat)
  • 5th Division (1 Seat)

Confirming Receipt of Your Ballot: All ballots will be sent to your email address of record. Please review your memberhip record at www.myutahbar.org to ensure that you have an email listed and that it is selected as the prefered email address. If you do not received a ballot:

  1. Check to see if it is in your spam filter.
  2. Go to https://www.electionsonline.us/election/login.cfm
  3. Enter in your email address of record and click Submit. If the email is recognized a new ballot will be sent to that address. If it is not recognized an error message will appear. Please contact onlineservices@utahbar.org to confirm eligibility and to receive a new ballot.

The Bar Commission has adopted a policy which prohibits candidates for the office of Bar President-elect to list the names of any current voting or ex-officio members of the Commission as supporting their candidacy in any written or electronic campaign materials, including, but not limited to any campaign materials inserted with the actual ballot; on the web site; in any e-mail sent for the purposes of campaigning by the candidate or by the Bar; or in any mailings sent out by the candidate or by the Bar.  Commissioners are otherwise not restricted in their rights to express opinions about President-elect candidates.
